1. Introduction

Comm-Breakdown, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, client portal, support systems, and tools—including our Device Security Check and encrypted support ticket system. All communications and data between you and Comm-Breakdown are treated as confidential and protected with military-grade encryption where applicable.

2. Device Security Check

Our Device Security Check (available at www.comm-breakdown.com/preview/iphone-security-check/) is a tool that allows our technicians to guide you through device checks, or to perform checks for you via screen share when you request it.

  • What we collect: When you use the Device Security Check, we may collect a Scan ID, any messages or results you submit, optional screenshots, and the page URL you were viewing. This information is used only to support your session and to create or update a support ticket so our technician can assist you.
  • Encryption: All personally identifiable information (PII) submitted through the Device Security Check and associated support tickets is stored using triple encryption (AES-256-GCM, AES-256-CBC, and HMAC-SHA256). Your data remains private between you and Comm-Breakdown.
  • Screen share: If you request a screen share so a technician can perform the check for you, we may use a secure third-party meeting link (e.g., Jitsi Meet). No recording or storage of the screen share is required by us; use of the link is subject to the provider’s terms.

3. Support Tickets and Two-Way Messaging

When you submit feedback, contact forms, or support requests (including through the Device Security Check or client preview support widgets), we create support tickets and may exchange messages with you.

  • Storage and encryption: Names, email addresses, message content, URLs, and user agent information are stored with military-grade triple encryption. Only authorized Comm-Breakdown staff can decrypt this data for the purpose of supporting you.
  • Delivery: When we reply to you, our system may deliver replies to your client portal or preview site so you can see them in context. Delivery status (e.g., sent, delivered) is tracked for reliability; no PII is exposed in delivery logs beyond what is necessary for troubleshooting.
  • Email notifications: Support notifications sent by email do not contain your personal message content or PII; they include only non-identifying details (e.g., ticket number, type) and a link to the secure admin or client interface.

4. Client Portal and Contact Forms

When you use our Client Portal or submit contact or service-request forms on our website:

  • We collect the information you provide (e.g., name, email, phone, message, project details).
  • Such data is stored with triple encryption where applicable and is used only to respond to you, provide services, and operate our business.
  • Portal sessions are protected with secure, HTTP-only cookies and industry-standard practices.

5. Data Security and Encryption

We use military-grade triple-layer encryption for all sensitive data (PII, contact details, support messages, and related metadata) stored in our systems. This includes:

  • AES-256-GCM (authenticated encryption)
  • AES-256-CBC (envelope encryption)
  • HMAC-SHA256 (integrity verification)

Encryption applies to data at rest and to sensitive fields in logs and support systems. Your information is encrypted and private between you and Comm-Breakdown; we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

6. Information We Collect Generally

In addition to the systems above, we may collect:

  • Information you provide (name, email, phone, address, company, project details)
  • Usage data (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and analytics
  • Cookies and similar technologies as described in our cookie practices

7. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve our services; respond to support and contact requests; operate the Device Security Check and support ticket system; deliver messages and track delivery status; secure and encrypt data; comply with law; and communicate with you about our services where appropriate.

8. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only with service providers who assist in operating our website, portal, or support systems, under strict confidentiality and security obligations. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

9. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law. Contact us at support@comm-breakdown.com or info@comm-breakdown.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of our website, portal, Device Security Check, or support systems after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
